Dr. In-Gi Min, the 12th Artistic Director and President of the National Chorus of Korea since January 2024, is a distinguished conductor and educator with a profound impact on Korea’s choral music landscape
Education
– Bachelor of Music in Composition, Yonsei University, Korea
– Master of Arts in Choral Conducting, New York University, USA
– Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting, University of Southern California, USA
Professional Experience
– Served as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for the Suwon City Choir, Ulsan City Choir,and Gangneung City Choir
– Held professorships at Honam Theological University and Seminary and Dankook University
– Guest conductor for numerous municipal choirs, including those of Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Ansan, Goyang, Bucheon, Cheongju, Wonju, Yongin, and Dangjin
– Conducted collaborations with esteemed orchestras such as the Korean National Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulsan Philharmonic Orchestra, Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, Gangneung hilharmonic Orchestra, Gangnam Symphony Orchestra, Korea National Police Symphony Orchestra, Ukrainian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Praga Sinfonietta Orchestra
– Former President of the Korean Choral Directors Association
– Currently serving as President and Artistic Director of the National Chorus of Korea, and as a Board member of the Korean Federation for Choral Music (KFCM) and the Korean Church Music Association
